About the Roosevelt Neighborhood

The Roosevelt Neighborhood encompasses the Roosevelt Historic District and surrounding areas in Downtown Phoenix. Bounded by McDowell Road to our north, Fillmore Street to our south, 7th Avenue to our west and Central Avenue on our east.

Blending historic character with thoughtful urban growth, Roosevelt remains one of Downtown Phoenix’s most distinctive and desirable neighborhoods.

This website serves as a resource for residents, visitors, and community members to learn more about neighborhood initiatives, local events, preservation efforts, and the work of the Roosevelt Action Association.

Roosevelt Action Association (RAA)

Since 1981, RAA’s mission has been to support Phoenix’s historic past by increasing awareness of its architectural and cultural history, to foster neighborhood pride and to advocate for an extraordinary quality of life for future generations. Roosevelt Action Association’s many projects include promoting rehabilitation and redevelopment efforts, sponsoring neighborhood events, educating residents and supporting redevelopment efforts.
